Musee National D'art Moderne -Centre Pompidou

Far from the 19th and 20th century's architecture , a locations  not far from the Notre Dame cathedral there is a very original  Building, ,yet very choking with  its architectural design .

its the Center Pompidou cultural center .
Personally didn't  like the shape that much  maybe because i have seen all those historical old buildings in Paris with its detailed engravings and status, somehow couldn't accept  the contrast of the architectural form of the building.

But the building itself in a different context is very nice .it is a modern and revolutionary art

Now what really took me there  is the Musee National D'art Moderne ,that lies in the 4th and 5rh floor of the center .

In the level 4 you can notice a large part of the contemporary display to an innovative and unprecedented presentation of work by women artists ,bringing together more than 350 works by some 150 artists .
It looks at the question of women in art ,examining the possibility of a history of art through women's work .
some nice ,some revolutionary and other choking work of art.

Now the level 5 : Presentation of the modern collections
you can see works of art from 1905 to 1960 s it traces the major movement in the modern art like the:

Cubism
Cubism was a 20th century avant-garde art movement, pioneered by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, that revolutionized European painting and sculpture
In cubist artworks, objects are broken up, analyzed, and re-assembled in an abstracted form—instead of depicting objects from one viewpoint, the artist depicts the subject from a multitude of viewpoints to represent the subject in a greater context

Early abstraction

Surrealism

Surrealism is a cultural movement that began in the early 1920s, and is best known for the visual artworks and writings of the group members.
Surrealist works feature the element of surprise, unexpected juxtapositions, however, many Surrealist artists and writers regard their work as an expression of the philosophical movement first and foremost, with the works being an artifact. Leader André Breton was explicit in his assertion that Surrealism was above all a revolutionary movement.

Dada
Dada or Dadaism is a cultural movement that began in Zürich, Switzerland, during World War I and peaked from 1916 to 1922.[1] The movement primarily involved visual arts, literaturepoetry, art manifestoes, art theorytheatre, and graphic design, and concentrated its anti-war politics through a rejection of the prevailing standards in art through anti-art cultural works. Its purpose was to ridicule what its participants considered to be the meaninglessness of the modern world. In addition to being anti-war, dada was also anti-bourgeois and anarchistic in nature.

The nouveau realistes
Nouveau Réalisme, New Realism, was founded in October 1960 with a joint declaration whose signatories were Yves Klein, Arman, Francois Dufrêne, Raymond Hains, Pierre Restany, Daniel Spoerri, Jean Tinguely and Jacques de la Villeglé; in 1961 these were joined by César, Mimmo Rotella, then Niki de Saint Phalle and Gerard Deschamps.

Neo Dada
Neo-Dada is a label applied primarily to audio and visual art that has similarities in method or intent to earlier Dada artwork. It is the foundation of Fluxus, Pop Art and Nouveau réalisme. Neo-Dada is exemplified by its use of modern materials, popular imagery, and absurdist contrast. It also patently denies traditional concepts of aesthetics.

kinectic art.
Kinetic art is art that contains moving parts or depends on motion for its effect. The moving parts are generally powered by wind, a motor or the observer. Kinetic art encompasses a wide variety of overlapping techniques and styles.

some of the museum's major holdings of individual artists ,like Picasso ,Man Ray ,Leger ,Delaunay ,le Corbusier and other.

Delaunay attract me with the vivid mixture and circles of color .the colors were compact yet very nicely mixed together .to give the sensation of a prism effect

here is a video to illustrate more the feel inside of this museum.

there is so much more to discover in this mixture of artistic work of art .
an amount of oxygen to the soul .
